Velocity - Claims Management
Claims Management is a time intensive process that can be greatly improved with effective systems as provided in Velocity. Velocity users can view prior claims and coverage while in the policy screen and easily navigate from customer service and coverage screens to the policy detail and claims screen without re-entering data.

Allows the user to access policy detail directly from one screen. Coverage detail can be viewed by occurrence date, reported date or all policy detail. Coverage detail can also be displayed for all customer policies, for example umbrella or excess policies, using the same window.

Group claims by occurrence, catastrophe, and other categories, by using the reference field in the Claims Master Screen.

Search for a claim by the names of litigants, subrogants, and those targeted for reserve payments.

On-line Claim Summary displays a summarized view of activities for specific claims.

On-line Reserves and Payments Summary display provides a quick view of the different reserve types used for a particular claim and payments related to those reserves. This previews payment or reserve changes prior to committing the changes to the database.

Multiple claimants, multiple subrogation participants, and multiple litigation participants can be entered and viewed in the Claims Master Screen. Addresses, phone numbers, FAX numbers and phone call log features record claims activities related to these individuals and organizations.

On-line Claim Profile reports are available at any time for any claim. This feature provides a complete profile of all activities undertaken related to the claim, which is useful for audit trail purposes or for external meetings.

Microsoft Word Integration capability means word processing templates are automatically available for producing letters and documents related to claims. The system automatically draws information from the claims database and can be modified prior to printing.

Any number of reserve types may be defined. Any number of payment types may be defined for use in statistical reporting.

Recording of pending recoveries and salvage are supported by the system.

Procedures can be defined to control data entry for both the system and hard copy forms specific to each claim type. This feature provides management with the tools necessary to insure that internal claims procedures are properly followed.
